Tim Stokes grew up in New York City. He earned a B.A. from Hampshire College with a concentration in Urban Design in 1986. He earned an M. Arch from UC Berkeley in 1992 and has been designing and building his own projects ever since. He returned to the Pioneer Valley in 2000. In 2001, he became a Registered Architect in Vermont.  He was first licensed as a Contractor in California in 1990, and has held a Contractors license in Massachusetts since 2003.

Tim has executed a large range of residential, mixed-use and commercial projects. His skill as a designer coupled with his thorough understanding of construction systems and costs allows him to offer a unique and comprehensive service to clients. He uses both traditional and sustainable building practices including recycled and salvage materials, non-toxic finishes, energy efficiency, and thoughtful renovation of existing buildings.
